About me
Hey, I'm Jehn, founder of Moondog adventure walks!
With decades of experience in looking after other peoples pets, I have a huge passion (borderline obsession) for dogs, which drives me to deliver the best dog-walking service.
My experience spans a vast array of personalities: from Crufts-winning sports dogs, nonchalant Huskies and anxious Golden Retrievers (my own!) to aggressively affectionate Collies and stubborn Dachshunds – I've truly seen and loved them all.
Originally from Torbay, I spent 16 years in London after university. There, I honed my pet care skills by running my own dog-walking and pet-sitting business alongside my cheffing career. A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to move back to Devon for a permanent pet care role. It was then that I truly understood how it feels to absolutely love your job and it gave me the kick I needed to launch Moondog adventure walks full-time!
Over the years I've fostered dogs, volunteered for The Cinnamon Trust and studied many aspects of dog care; training, handling, first aid, canine communication and body language, basic grooming and have a keen interest in dog massage.
I understand how difficult it can be to trust someone else with your dog – I've been there myself, relying on walkers and sitters for my own needy pup! But rest assured, I'll treat your dog like one of my own. They're not just clients; they're sure to become one of my best pals.
